You need Doug! Getting married in Maui? Looking for a Videographer to capture a perfect little movie of your day? Look no further. Let me tell you about Doug. He is INCREDIBLE! I am not one to go out of my way to write reviews for people, but dang.. does he deserve it! From the preliminary meeting where we discussed the vision, what we were looking for, set-up, etc. To showing up at 4AM(!!) for our Sunrise ceremony. To ensuring we grabbed shots that I really wanted, even if it wasn't initially planned or maybe even out of the way. To being an absolute JOY to be around on our Wedding day! Doug, we cannot thank you enough for capturing our magical day in such a beautiful keepsake. We will cherish our wedding video forever! Through his filmmaking, our film is filled with so much love, laughter, happiness - he really captured the essence of our relationship! MAHALO, DOUG!!

I am so incredibly glad that I chose Doug with Afterglow to shoot my wedding.  I couldn't be more happy with the way that the wedding video turned out.  

Doug was such a pleasure to work with.  He was perfectly professional, totally thorough, and quite artistic with his video skills.  Watching the video, I saw that he captured so much footage that I didn't even realize he was filming...  He didn't miss any of the important moments and got even more than I expected!  

My husband and I also decided to have Doug edit a highlights video montage of all the day's events, so that we could have a shorter account of our wedding to share with friends and family. We absolutely LOVED it!!!  It was so sweet to have a little video that was so easily shared and he did a superb job of editing it.  Many of our friends and family told us how moved they were by seeing the video, whether they were able to attend the wedding or not!

I would highly recommend Doug to anyone wanting video services and suggest checking out samples of his wedding highlight montages.  I can imagine we will be watching and sharing that much more often than our full wedding video!  :)

We were so pleased with our video from Doug and Afterglow Weddings Maui!  Our wedding was the most special day, and our video really captured the intimacy and all the emotions we felt that day.

Since we eloped to Maui, it was wonderful to be able to show all of our friends and family at home our wedding. We had several guests comment during our at-home reception that our video made them feel like they were standing on the beach with us!

Communication with Doug was easy and prompt during planning, which we appreciated greatly from 3,600 miles away. Our video also arrived quickly and safely, in perfect time. Doug even emailed to make sure it had arrived!  We will forever cherish our time on Maui, and are very thankful to Doug for his time, talent, and expertise. Mahalo!

Thank you so much for our wonderful wedding video!!!  We can't thank you enough for the extra effort and attention that you gave to our special day.  Every moment was captured on our video just flawlessly.  When we had our reception back in Phoenix, we were able to play the video for all our friends and family that couldn't make it to Maui (thanks to you being able to expedite :) ) and they all told us they felt like they were there with us!

Our favorite part, which gave us goosebumps, was the section in the video while we were taking our photos.  The song we chose, Leaky Little Boat by Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers was edited with the video just perfectly and captured our personalities and the beauty of the day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for sharing our day and making sure the memories will last a lifetime.  If we had it to do over again, we wouldn't change a thing! You are truly talented and we are so blessed to have had you there with us!

For us, this video is worth so much more than the photographs we also have.  As you know, we are from the Netherlands, so we weren't able to bring any friends and family with us. With this video we could really share our moment with them. All of them felt like they were there, and everybody was really moved. 

Due to the excitement of the day, we had forgotten about some parts of the ceremony. It was so great to be able to see it all again from the comfort of our home. Everything came back, and for a short moment, we felt like we were transported to the beautiful island of Maui again. This video is really precious to us. We can revisit our most special day of our life whenever we want, wherever we want. 

I can wholeheartedly recommend everyone to get a video. Doug is a real professional, and the results are breathtaking. You won't regret it!

Douglas DeBoer was simply amazing, and an absolute pleasure to work with!  Having an awesome videographer to capture the wedding was as priority to us, as many of our loved ones were not able to travel to Maui to join us on this special day. Doug was very professional and was open to our requests. He single-handedly captured great b-roll, footage of the details, and the main event with an artistic flare.

Not only was he great at filming and editing but he was able to complete his work in a timely manner. I have now had my video for a week and I have watched it more than 10 times! On top of this, Doug was great to work with as his calming demeanor diffused any bit of bridezilla I had within me.

We recently had Doug as our videographer for our wedding in April 2016 and cannot begin to express how blessed we are to have had his services. Doug has been nothing but kind, attentive, and professional and truly exceeded our expectations. The quality of his work is amazing, and has true movie-like quality that you can't find anywhere else. He also really made an effort to go above and beyond anything we asked of him, and created a beautiful slideshow for our wedding that brought the crowd to tears. My husband and I had been planning a destination wedding in Maui with Indian traditional ceremony and events. We came across Doug and Afterglow Weddings Maui during our planning and immediately in our first interaction we felt like we had met the right person to video record our special memories. Doug was personable, interested in what we wanted and exactly what was important to us, he provided all the details of his services patiently and worked with us through great timely communication.

On the day of our wedding, we had lots of guests and activities going on, while people were a challenge to handle. Doug managed to keep it all under control and get amazing footage of our entire wedding! Doug captured every single important wedding ceremony highlight and provided us with various types / versions of the footage - unedited version in a hard drive, edited long movie length videos, and short montage / highlights video. Our families as well as my husband and I absolutely loved the work and enjoy watching the videos to relive our special memories!

Doug was very professional and added special touches of drone shots from above in the very perfect way during our various traditional wedding ceremony events! The drone shots and editing truly makes our wedding videos look nothing but spectacular.

We also needed some videos soon to showcase at our reception in India a month after the wedding, and Doug worked with us to provide the necessary footage in various levels of quality in time for our reception. Over 800 guests at our reception enjoyed watching the wedding videos there!! It was an unforgettable experience we will always cherish. :))

You couldn't hire a better wedding videographer than Doug at Afterglow Weddings in Maui. He was organized, professional, and communicated flawlessly the whole time prior, during, and after wedding. Being across the country with a 6 hour time difference we never once had an issue getting a hold of Doug, in fact he would email us before we had any questions and follow up close to our wedding to see how excited we were. He went over different pricing options for us to custom tailor to what we needed, had a preliminary and final wedding agreement, and was always communicating with us. He was genuinely excited for us to be getting married and we enjoyed his creativity and enthusiasm on our wedding day. He pays attention to details like music for your video, title, amount of mic/cameras needed. Doug at Afterglow Weddings exceeded any expectations we had. Meeting Doug was from the beginning a peace of mind knowing that I would have the best memories of our Wedding day because of his professionalism from the first time we met.  Our Wedding was a combination of 2 different nationalities, Mexican and Persian.

Doug DeBoer was our wedding videographer in Maui. He was prompt and very kind and he also made us feel extremely comfortable. He used two camera's which made the video look very professional. Doug stayed with us until sunset and created a beautiful and heart warming wedding video.

As we got to know Doug, we found out he also produced music videos. Since I am a singer song writer and had my guitar with me, I asked him if he would make a video video to make the story in the song come alive. He went above and beyond the what I ever expected him to do. He took us to several awesome locations around the Maui to help create an incredible dramatic music video called "Open Your Heart",  which you can find online to watch. Our experience with Doug was top notch. I would highly recommend him for any video work!

We could not be happier with our wedding video! Doug did an amazing job. Not only is the finished product absolutely beautiful, Doug was great at helping run the show during the wedding.  We didn't hire a coordinator, and we really didn't have a solid plan on how we wanted to do it, and Doug very graciously acted as director and cinematographer (which we were so happy to have!)  He's a true professional and super easy to work with. He had great ideas and was also happy to get whatever shots we wanted as well.

My husband and I decided to get married on a very small beach in South Maui and we wanted to have the ceremony just before sunset so that we could have both daytime and golden hour. Doug helped us time it all perfectly and we had a blast.  We actually got to enjoy ourselves during the ceremony and afterwards, frolicking on the beach as the sun set because we knew we were in very good hands.  

We actually had some challenging circumstances. The tide was high and our already small beach became super tiny, yet he was able to make it look really lovely. We got a little rained on, but you can't even tell.  The sky was overcast, yet in the video, he was able to make the light look magical. Then, at just the perfect time, the sky gave us the most wonderful sunset with the sun coming out at the horizon and Doug got us into the perfect spot to capture our dream romantic video, sun setting, waves crashing, all that magic (and the photographers loved it too!)

All the while we had fun, just rolling with it all, laughing and feeling really cared for and celebrated.  Doug is easy going, professional and it's clear he wants his clients to be happy.  And he succeeded!

We wanted the video quickly to show family we were visiting just a couple of days after the event and he delivered a fantastically edited version of the full ceremony and a wedding highlights video that is just breathtaking!  Some of our friends even said it look almost too perfect! (But we think it's just the right amount of perfect!)

Doug was a pleasure work with. We had to hire him last minute and he was very accommodating and helpful. On the day of the wedding he came and introduced himself and made sure to discuss with me what it was that I wanted the video to be styled after. He went around videotaping every magical moment without being intrusive.

He asked us promptly via email about music selections and the we received the final cut within 3 weeks of the wedding. The video was wonderful and we love showing it to family and friends. Choosing a videographer is always hard for your wedding because everyone wants the best, well Doug is that. He was always very responsive with emails from day one.
